Our Grant was born at 28 weeks and 5 days of gestation at Riverside Hospital. He started out strong on CPAP and never had to be intubated. He was one of the unfortunate few babies to have caught RSV while in the hospital–which caused a huge setback and a trip to Nationwide Children’s Hospital Downtown. During his stay there, he was evaluated by the BPD clinic and with much nurturing by his care team, we were able to successfully get him home after 128 days in the hospital and on O2. He remained on oxygen for a few more months but has had a clean bill of health since and remains well on the growth chart for his actual age.
