Carter was born with Vactrel. He has spinal abnormalities, imperforate anus, PFO, VSD, ankle deformities, tremors, hypospadias, large bladder and urinary issues. When he was born we knew he had an extended stomach and then they kept finding one thing after another. He has had multiple surgeries to help correct his anus, including getting a colostomy bag on day 2 of his life. Now, Carter will be 3 years old in December 2016. We just had another colorectal surgery on 9.19.16 by the CCPR team (they did amazing!). The doctors, nurses and staff at Nationwide Children’s have been amazing!!! Looking at Carter, you would have no idea anything was wrong with him! We call him SUPERMAN because he always “pulls thru” and achieves the impossible! Nothings stopping this stubborn 2-year-old and he continues to strive and get better every day!!!
