Hi! My son Drake was born on a cold night at Holzer Hospital in Gallioplis, Ohio. We were so very excited about his arrival. He made his grand appearance at 11:00 pm on November 16th. That is when we got the news that he was going to be shipped to Children’s. Not knowing what was going to happen we were very scared. My husband and brother left the hospital to meet Drake there because we thought he was going to be flown. Turned out they ended up having to drive him. I got to Children’s the next day BC I had to of course stay in the hospital for my own safety. Drake had his first surgery done by Dr. Aldrink. His colostomy was working great after surgery but Drake decided he was not going to eat much. We stayed in Columbus for 2 weeks. Drake has had a total of 5 surgeries at Children’s. I couldn’t be more happier with a hospital. Being at a hospital as much as we are I’m glad its this one because I love all the Doctors, nurses, and staff! He will continue to be monitored but he is a very healthy 3 1/2 year old little boy!
