Ivy Moss, from Toledo, Ohio, isn’t quite ten years old yet, but she’s already dealt with a daunting illness during her young life.

Ivy was diagnosed with refractory T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Because Ivy is from a mixed race, the search for a bone marrow donor was difficult. However, she underwent a mismatched unrelated donor (MMUD) umbilical cord blood transplant. At more than one year since her transplant, Ivy has had minimal complications.
