We started noticing seizures at 18 months. She finally was able to see a Neurologist at age 3. Her seizures are in her sleep. She had her first Epilepsy surgery in 2013. That got rid of the old seizures, but everything shifted and brought on new ones. We then tried the VNS. She’s exhausted all med options, so we decided to take a chance and go for another epilepsy surgery. During part one, she may have suffered a stroke. Part two caused more of a defecit on the left side than originally expected. We are now in rehab to gain function back in her left side. She’s slowly showing improvement, and so far no seizures! I couldn’t have asked for better nurses or docs than what we had and have through this second round of surgeries!
