Braydon’s Fight

Braydon was born at 28 weeks and 1 day at 690 grams (1 pound 7 oz) because of absent blood flow to his umbilical cord. Mom and dad were told that he may not make it throughout the night. To the doctors surprise he made it. Little did we know how sick Braydon was.

Braydon has received over 15 blood transfusions. Diagnosed with VSD, BPD, DiGeorge Syndrome and a Grade 3 Brain Bleed. At 6 days old Braydon was transferred over to Nationwide and is currently 3.5 months old in the BPD unit. Braydon is truly a miracle as he was a “rainbow baby” (child born after a miscarriage). He has shown many what a true fighter he is. He will remain in the hospital until he has open heart surgery and his lungs can grow to get off ventilator support!
